Kathy Peterson is the President of PeopleWorks, Inc. Kathy is a much sought after speaker because of her energetic and enthusiastic style and her interactive keynotes and programs. She has inspired thousands of people throughout the United States.

Prior to starting PeopleWorks, Kathy was a member of the global management training and development team at Gateway, a Fortune 500 computer marketer and manufacturer. Kathy has also served as an adjunct instructor in the areas of business and communication.

Kathy is an active member of several professional organizations including the: National Speakers Association, American Society for Training & Development, Society for Human Resource Management, Alta Chamber of Commerce, and Iowa Association of Lifelong Learning.

Kathy has a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Iowa State University (Go Cyclones!) and a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and Organizational Performance from Drake University. In 2001, Kathy earned certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

In addition to being a successful business owner, Kathy is a wife and the proud mother of two sons and a daughter. She and her husband live on an acreage and are engaged in farming outside of Storm Lake, Iowa.
